RE: Mac

Methinks that .plist is the preferences file which would NOT be replaced in a reinstall. Try just deleting the file... If you cannot do it there are unix commands for that, also utilities available. I think that may help... maybe not. Good Luck!

RE: Mac

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately, it didn't work. I did a scan with DiskWarrior and it popped up with the file com.Livestation.plist being corrupted and unfixable. I did a fresh install with a new download, but the problem remains. Perhaps there's something wrong with the file in this build? Can anyone confirm?

RE: Problems with Partner stations -- too choppy to watch

Hi

I'm having the same problem as Eric. Al Jazeera, BBC, Euronews and France24 are way too choppy to watch/listen to on the Livestation player on my computer. However, it's usually fine watching them on your website. Only CNN plays perfectly well on the Livestation player on my computer.

I'm in the Philippines with a 1.8Mbps internet connection. I've tried this at various hours of the day & night. The computer is running WinXP SP3 on a 1.4Ghz Celeron processor with 1GB of RAM.

thanks

RE: HELP! I've lost Al-jazeera English channel!

Tim

try logging into the website with your username and password. Click on My Livestation From there you can select the tab "add/remove partner channels". From that page you should be able to re add Al Jazeera English to your list of favourites. You may have removed it from your list by mistake.

Channel NewsAsia

I would like to suggest Channel NewsAsia as a partner channel. It is a major Asian news provider based in Singapore and is the largest (and possibly only) international news channel in the Southeast Asian region. The local and international feeds differ very little, and coverage focuses on international reporting and regional news in Southeast Asia, East Asia, and Asia. It is analogous to euronews in Southeast Asia, and I believe it would be fantastic for it to be a partner channel because it offers coverage of and perspectives from a large part of the world - particularly Southeast and East Asia - that current partner channels do not focus upon.

RE: Mac

Try doing a "Repair Permissions" on your Hard Drive with Apple Disk Utility program. Then de-install Livestation, and re-install it. Also try doing "System Updates" from the Apple Menu. I've had this working on several macs, some not so healthy, and all run fine. All of them running 10.4.11 however, so that could be an issue.

Best of luck!

RE: Chatroom could use some ops

I second this motion. And I've talked to some livestation developers about it too, back in November. Apparently you people got better things to do than make arguebly the best feature about Livestation something less than a joke. Livestation chat needs full irc functionality. Ops, channels, voice, bots, the lot.

I'm steering clear of the chat until this joke of a chatroom is sorted.

Links in chat

Well.. as it is today, when a link is posted in the chat it's posted in the default HTML formatting - Underlined and dark blue.
Dark blue however, is not readable on a grey/black background - Essentially one either has to move close to the monitor too see where the link goes, or press it in blind and hope it's for a site that's not a malicious site. (knock on wood)

I believe that they should simply just stay in white and be underlined - No need to change the colour of the font.
