Skinkers raises £2m to fund the launch of innovative peer-to-peer technology for Live Content Delivery

The company is using the new funds to bring to market the Skinkers Live Delivery Network, a private and secure peer-to-peer infrastructure which enables both businesses and consumers to receive high quality, digital feeds (text/audio/video) in real time to their desktops.

Skinkers, a leader in push technology that radically improves communication, today announced that it had raised £2m from its current shareholders to fund the launch of the Skinkers Live Delivery Network, an innovative peer-to-peer network to support live video streaming and real-time notifications. The majority of the funds have been provided by NewMedia SPARK, a London based venture capital firm.

Matteo Berlucchi, CEO of Skinkers, commented, "We are delighted to have secured the funding that will enable us to bring to market an exciting new range of peer-to-peer products based on the core Skinkers technology combined with technology acquired from the Microsoft Research Labs in Cambridge.”
