"Watching or listening to a single news service is a thing of the past. I believe Livestation is the future of live information."
Chris Cramer, Former President of CNN International and a strategic advisor for Livestation
What's Hot - buzzing about live TV over broadband
Livestation's What's Hot enables viewers to let others know when they see something that interests them as they watch a live TV feed (or are listening to a live radio broadcast).
You can add comments to whatever you have buzzed as being What's Hot and others can add comments, too.
If enough people are buzzing about something, the What's Hot item climbs up the ratings chart.
So this means that if you are buzzing alone, then it's unlikely to climb the list, but if enough people are buzzing about a certain channel, it will appear in the top five What's Hot list.
We think Livestation is the only player offering this functionality, and we will improve it over time, so bear with us as we try the feature out. It will only get better with your input.
Once a channel has made it to the top 10 in the What's Hot list other users will see what everyone is buzzing about, click on that stream and start to watch or listen to the channel.
Once there, everyone can read the comments made by the person who fired the What's Hot buzz and add their own comments. (It can take between five and 20 seconds for comments to appear, so please be patient).
If you want to chat in real time, you can click on the 'chat' tab and enter a chat room associated with the programme being broadcast.
Soon, viewers will be able to tag What's Hot topics with key words and other users can follow What's Hot for topics (much like the news alerts from mainstream broadcasters offer).
